Electrical hazards are among the top 3 leading causes of fires at industrial and manufacturing facilities. Between 2017 and 2021, US fire departments responded to an average of 8,077 structure fires at industrial or manufacturing properties each year, causing 155 civilian injuries, and $988 million in direct property damage, according to the NFPA.
