IATF 16949 rules 6th Edition is Quickly Approaching

The International Automotive Task Force (IATF) has representatives from almost all major vehicle manufacturers, suppliers and automotive trade associations. While the current IATF 16949:2016 standard is not changing, the IATF rules 6th edition becomes effective from January 1, 2025 onward. The 6th edition rule includes strengthening and clarifying various processes, approaches, requirements, and IATF intentions. The new edition was developed to improve the IATF 16949 certification scheme and client transfer process, incorporate the 5th edition Sanctioned Interpretations (SIs) and FAQs, and update eligibility requirements for IATF 16949 certification.
