Miklós Cseresznyák is the new CEO of ÉMI-TÜV SÜD Kft. Bringing extensive management experience to his role, Miklós Cseresznyák will strengthen ÉMI-TÜV SÜD’s current position on the domestic market. Having added Certification Body Test Lab (CBTL) accreditation in Atlanta TÜV SÜD can now test lighting and LED products for compliance in over 40 markets to the CB Scheme. TÜV SÜD Center of Excellence for Lighting in Atlanta, GA is one of only three organizations in the US with this accreditation.
Nordex has commissioned TÜV SÜD to carry out type certification of their latest wind turbine generators (WTG) N149/5.X and N163/5.X. The turbines are designed for land-constrained markets in Europe as well as other global markets, such as the USA and Australia. Type certification of wind turbines is a procedure recognised at international level for establishing that these complex technical systems comply with international standards.

Pressure equipment must comply with the requirements of the EU Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU. This also applies to materials and semi-finished products that are additively manufactured and used in or as pressure equipment. TÜV SÜD has now issued its first ever certificate to an additive manufacturer of materials and semi-finished products using a QM system in line with PED 2014/68/EU, Annex I, Clause 4.3. The pioneering certificate is based on a new TÜV SÜD certification programme which covers the requirements of the Pressure Equipment Directive and other relevant standards.
