Meet Tim Andrews
Tim Andrews brings a decade of expertise in extractables and leachables (E&L) analysis and chemical characterization to TÜV SÜD’s medical device testing center of excellence in New Brighton, MN. As the Chemistry Team Lead and Study Director, Tim has been instrumental in launching and growing the Chemical Characterization lab, a fully operational ISO 17025-accredited facility that complies with the stringent requirements of ISO 10993 standards. Before joining TÜV SÜD, Tim held multiple roles within the medical device and pharmaceutical testing industries, gaining experience in contract research organizations, large medical device manufacturers, and specialty chemical labs. His academic foundation includes a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire and a master’s degree in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Minnesota. Tim’s strong leadership and technical expertise have helped shape a laboratory renowned for its scientific integrity, high-quality results, and exceptional client-centric approach.
