Program Manager at TÜV SÜD Canada- Ottawa (Kanata) Lab

Can you describe your role at TÜV SÜD?
I am the Program Manager for a key customer house account. I deal with everything from program scope and quoting, scheduling, test plan generation, invoicing, report generation, and being the main customer contact.

What is your favorite thing about working at TÜV SÜD?
I enjoy the on going relationship with my customer. I interface with my customer on a daily basis on all current and future programs.     

What are you most excited about for the future of TÜV SÜD?
I am excited about the future growth possibilities for TÜV SÜD in Ottawa. Since joining TÜV SÜD in 2018 the lab has added Wireless and safety capabilities and is working on adding reliability capabilities (HALT testing).

What are 3 words that you’d use to describe TÜV SÜD?
Quality, Customer Focus, Technical Competence

Tell us about a project that you’ve worked on that you’re proud of.
What I am most proud of is the relationship I have developed with my key customer.

Describe your relationship with customers.
I interface with my customer on a daily basis. There is always a feeling of collaboration as I work with the customer to meet their testing needs and schedules.

What is your history/industry experience?
Mechanical engineer with over 25 years in the telecom industry test environment. I have 25 years of experience dealing with Telecom equipment requirements such as NEBS, regulatory EMC, safety, and environmental standards.

Name something that makes what you do at TÜV SÜD unique or valued to the customer.
I manage all aspects of the customers engagement with TÜV SÜD. I work extensively with my customer’s compliance engineers.

  Yellow Stone.
• Tell us something about yourself that might surprise us.
  I was born in Australia.
• Which historical figure would you like to meet and why?
  Bobby Jones. I love the game of golf and he was the father of the modern golf swing. Something I have yet to figure out.
