Securing GLOBAL MARKET ACCESS (GMA) for Innovative AR Helmet for Construction Industry

Construction teams using the Atom can view and position holograms of 3D BIM models on site with remarkable precision, achieving an accuracy level of 3-5 millimetres. This technology facilitates real-time validation and verification of construction works enabling immediate decision-making at every stage of the construction process. XYZ Reality's cutting-edge solution makes construction safer and more efficient whilst optimising operational efficiency, de-risking processes and reducing waste. This is a revolutionary move away from a reliance on 2D drawings and subjective, out of date data, towards a future where accuracy means each project is built right, first time.

Challenge

XYZ Reality have an innovative product which they wanted to sell globally but they faced challenges in managing compliance with technical regulations. This was further complicated by an absence of harmonised standards and requirements. With differing national standards across countries and regions, they also needed to be fully aware of the regulations for each country or region they wanted to access.

Having no experience of the Global Market Access (GMA) process and the different and complex requirements laid out by individual countries, it made sense to engage TÜV SÜD’s GMA specialists. They’d already chosen to work with TÜV SÜD for their EU and US testing, so it was logical to continue the partnership for their market access needs.

OUR SOLUTION

To help them reach their target markets and expand globally, Charlotte Pemberton-Bennetts, GMA Manager, worked closely with them to establish the best way to achieve compliance. As this was their first GMA project, Charlotte walked them through the process.

Charlotte explains more: 

“During the testing process, the company changed some of the model numbers, so our first step was to review the testing reports to make sure that all of the model numbers were correct and aligned. Next, we assessed the markets that they wanted to access. Ultimately, they are looking to sell their product across the world but initially, we are working to achieve access to 10 specific countries including India and Saudi Arabia.

We offered them a comprehensive GMA solution acting as their international regulatory approvals department and providing guidance on the compliance requirements and approval strategy for each country. By handling everything for them, we were pleased to be able to make the whole process painless and stress-free for them.”
