COP 26 // Nuclear’s role in a low carbon energy world

Presented by TÜV SÜD, NIA & Rolls-Royce

United Kingdom, The Busby Hotel 13:00 GMT | 14:00 CET

The world is facing an energy crisis. Prices are soaring and many countries are striving to have net zero carbon. So how do we get clean energy to everyone sustainably?

A balanced green energy system that utilises low carbon technology is critical. Renewables like wind and solar are part of the solution but we also need nuclear. It’s a proven technology which is safe, reliable and not weather dependent. It’s also ready to rise to the challenge.

On the eve of Energy Day at COP26, TÜV SÜD is hosting a half day workshop and panel event at East Kilbride, Glasgow. Our experts will be joined by guests from Rolls-Royce and the NIA. They will discuss how to achieve a balanced eco-system and support the UN’s sustainable development goals for affordable and clean energy.

The event will also look at how the nuclear industry can help boost the use of hydrogen and synthetic aviation fuels and support companies transitioning from the oil, gas and aerospace sectors.
