Korea: Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Test Methods for Conformity Assessment Change to KS Standards
FEBRUARY 2021 - ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS
On 8 February 2021, the South Korean Radio Research Agency (RRA) published a Notice No. 2021-10 as amendment to the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Test Methods for Conformity Assessment Notice No. 2015-110.
The amendment was issued to change some KN test methods in the annexes of the Notice on EMC Test Methods for Conformity Assessment to the National Standards (KS).
Changed KS standards include:
- Immunity test for household electrical equipment: KS C 9814-2:2020,
- Interference prevention test of household electrical equipment: KS C 9814-1:2020
- Common EMC test for radio equipment: KS X 3124:2020,
- EMC test for specific low power wireless devices for wireless data communication systems: KS X 3126:2020,
- EMC test for specific low power wireless devices: KS X 3125:2020
- Electromagnetic interference prevention test for multimedia equipment: KS C 9832:2019,
- Electromagnetic wave immunity test for multimedia devices: KS C 9835:2019,
- EMC test method for wireless devices for vehicle wireless devices and electrical and electronic components mounted on vehicles: KS C 9995:2021,
- EMC test for automobiles and internal combustion engines, etc: KS C 9990:2017,
- Interference prevention test for lighting equipment: KS C 9815:2019,
- Immunity test for lighting equipment: KS C 9547:2020,
- EMC test method for electric bicycles: KS C 9994:2021,
- Immunity test for medical devices: KS C IEC 60601-1-2:201.
The Notice will be enforced on 7 May 2021.
