You will gain practical and theoretical knowledge to work safely with EV batteries by understanding key risk areas and how to control them. The course develops your ability to recognize electrical, thermal, chemical, and mechanical hazards, spot early warning signs of battery failure, and apply correct safety practices in real situations. You will learn proper use of PPE, Lockout/Tagout procedures, safe handling of cells, modules, and packs, as well as emergency response actions for fires or damaged batteries. By the end, you will also be able to assess facility safety readiness, use basic diagnostic tools, and follow structured safety protocols when working with high-voltage battery systems.
By the end of the program, participants will be able to:
- Identify major EV battery hazards and their consequences
- Detect early warning signs of battery failure
- Apply PPE and safe handling methods for cells, modules, and packs
- Implement Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures correctly
- Execute fire safety and emergency response actions
- Evaluate facility safety readiness and storage conditions
- Reduced risk of battery-related incidents
- Improved workplace and facility safety culture
- Better compliance with high-voltage safety standards
- Practical, job-ready safety skills
- Confidence in handling EV battery systems.
