TÜV SÜD in Singapore accredited by SAC for SS 714:2025 DPTM

Singapore. TÜV SÜD PSB Pte Ltd has officially been accredited by the Singapore Accreditation Council (SAC) to certify organisations against the SS 714:2025 Data Protection Trustmark (DPTM). As an authorised Certification Body (CB), TÜV SÜD is now qualified to conduct SS 714 audits for organisations seeking to demonstrate robust data protection practices.

SS 714:2025 is Singapore’s national standard designed for organisations that handle personal data and wish to demonstrate their commitment to high-standard, accountable data protection practices to customers, partners and regulators. While participation is voluntary, achieving the Data Protection Trustmark positions businesses and entities that rely on trusted digital transactions and data sharing as competitive differentiators

The standard supports compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and the Data Protection Trustmark (DPTM) framework, thereby reinforcing governance, transparency and accountability in the management of personal data under Singapore’s privacy regime.

“Data protection forms the bedrock of digital trust,” stated Foo Soo Guan, Senior Vice President, Business Assurance Division ASEAN at TÜV SÜD. “Our SAC-accredited certification to SS 714 reflects TÜV SÜD’s steadfast and long-standing commitment to supporting organisations in strengthening privacy governance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering confidence among stakeholders.”

Overview of benefits for organisations:

  • Enhanced trust: Demonstrates commitment to safeguarding personal data, building confidence among customers and partners.
  • Regulatory alignment: Supports compliance with Singapore’s PDPA and DPTM framework.
  • Competitive advantage: Positions organisations as leaders in data protection, differentiating them in a digital economy.
  • Risk mitigation: Structured governance reduces exposure to data breaches and privacy-related incidents.
