Singapore, 25 November 2025 – TÜV SÜD PSB has been honoured with the Pro-Enterprise Impact & Partnership Award by the Pro-Enterprise Panel – Singapore Business Federation (PEP–SBF) for its groundbreaking project, “TruCerts: a Blockchain-based Platform for Fire Safety Products.”
The award recognises TÜV SÜD’s commitment to its contribution in regulatory innovation and public-private collaboration through the integration of blockchain technology into Singapore’s Product Listing Scheme (PLS), an initiative led by the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), and actively supported by the Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX), to streamline compliance processes for fire safety and building materials.
The Product Listing Scheme (PLS) ensures that fire-safety and building products used in Singapore meet stringent safety and regulatory standards. Through its industry & infrastructure services, TÜV SÜD PSB played a pivotal role in integrating the PLS framework with TruCerts, a blockchain-enabled platform that provides tamper-proof certification records, API-driven automation, and real-time transparency throughout the product-compliance lifecycle.
The transformation has simplified regulatory processes for manufacturers, certification bodies, and contractors, reducing turnaround times while enhancing confidence in certified products. By leveraging TruCerts, TÜV SÜD has set a new standard for efficiency, transparency, and collaboration in the built-environment sector.
“The integration of the Product Listing Scheme (PLS) with TruCerts marks a significant step forward in strengthening Singapore’s regulatory ecosystem and enhancing public trust in product safety and compliance. It also sets the foundation for regional scalability across ASEAN, fostering greater harmonisation of standards and contributing to a more transparent and resilient regulatory landscape.” says Mr Jonas Strahberger, CEO, TÜV SÜD Asean.
“The initiative has enabled faster market access through streamlining of certification processes for compliant products, thereby supporting a safer built environment and promoting innovation within the industry. It has also created tangible value through enhanced testing, certification and product assurance services that benefit the wider built environment.” remarked Mr. Toh Choon Yang, Vice President, Industry & Infrastructure, BLS (ASEAN), TÜV SÜD.
This recognition underscores TÜV SÜD’s leadership in developing trusted digital-compliance frameworks and reinforces its role as a strategic partner of SCDF in safeguarding the built environment and supporting ASEAN’s digital-transformation journey.
The PEP–SBF Awards Ceremony is held on 25 November 2025 (Tuesday) at M Hotel Singapore, Banquet Suite Ballroom (Level 10) from 9.00 am to 12.30 pm, graced by Guest of Honour Mr Gan Kim Yong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry. TÜV SÜD’s representatives Mr Jonas Strahberger, CEO ASEAN and Mr Toh Choon Yang, Vice President, Industry & Infrastructure, BLS (ASEAN) will attend the event on behalf of the organisation.
