TÜV SÜD PSB has recently awarded LionsBot International, a Singapore-based robotics company, with the CE Attestation of Conformity, including SS ISO 13482 type test certificate for service robot, for their autonomous cleaning robot - LeoScrub. LionsBot International’s robots are used in notable public spaces such as the National Gallery Singapore, Alexandra Hospital and Jewel Changi Airport.
The certificate was handed over from Mr Richard Hong, CEO of TÜV SÜD ASEAN to Mr Dylan Ng, CEO of LionsBot International. This certificate ceremony was witnessed by Ms Choy Sauw Kook, Director-General of Enterprise Singapore, Mr Goh Wee Hong, Senior Vice President of Product Service from TÜV SÜD PSB, and Mr Holger Lindner, CEO of TÜV SÜD Global Product Service Division.
While the certification process was underway, much emphasis was given to the technical exchange between the TÜV SÜD team and LionsBot team. Knowledge transfer between the two companies allowed LionsBot inhouse robot designers to amplify their skills and gain better insight to safety requirements under the Machinery and Radio Equipment directives. With this awarding of the CE Attestation of Conformity for LeoScrub, this cleaning robot is in compliance with both EU regulation and Singapore local standard requirement and LionsBot International will be able to access the EU and local market.
