Niranjan Nadkarni

CEO, TÜV SÜD South Asia, South-East Asia, Middle East and Africa Region & CEO, TÜV SÜD Middle East LLC
Mr. Niranjan Nadkarni is the Chief Executive Officer of South & Southeast Asia, Middle East & Africa (ASMEA) Region since July 1, 2017. As of Jan 1, 2025, he assumed the additional role of CEO, TÜV SÜD Middle East and TÜV SÜD Middle East LLC.

As a CEO of one of the most diverse regions, his area of focus is to strengthen the company’s value offering by leveraging on personnel and business competencies available across the region. Under his leadership, aligned to the Group’s focus, the region has made significant investments and progress in digital transformation initiatives and commitment to initiatives and services supporting sustainable development.

With over three decades of experience, Niranjan started his career with SKF Bearings India Pvt. Ltd. In 1995, he made an unconventional move to join a five-member team at TÜV SÜD. He then qualified to become a Lead Auditor for management system certification ISO 9001, QS 9000, VDA 6.1 and TS 16949. During this tenure, he performed audits and training in many markets globally, such as USA, Germany, Japan, China, South Korea, ASEAN, and South Asia.

In 1998, he was appointed the head of South India region for TÜV SÜD South Asia. After managing this portfolio for over eight years, Niranjan was appointed as Vice President- Product Services, with the thrust to set up the Product Services portfolio in South Asia. He was instrumental in establishing a network of state-of-the-art laboratories for food, textiles, and leather and planning and implementation of the market expansion strategy. In 2009, he was appointed CEO of TÜV SÜD South Asia, responsible for the firm’s operations across India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. Under his leadership until 2023, the sub region witnessed double digit growth and built an impressive footprint around digital transformation initiatives. 1 July, 2017, he was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of South & Southeast Asia, Middle East & Africa (ASMEA) Region. In 2025, He was given the additional responsibility of leading Middle East region as the CEO of the region and TÜV SÜD Middle East LLC . He is also the Member of Board of Management of TÜV SÜD Bangladesh Private limited, TÜV SÜD Middle East and TÜV SÜD PSB Pte. Ltd.

Brought up in Mumbai, Niranjan is a Mechanical Engineer and has a Masters’ degree in Management from Pune University in India. He has also attended modules on Strategy Management, Leadership and Change and Fit4Digital at Executive School of Management, St. Gallen, Switzerland. He is an avid reader and enjoys travelling and cross-country trekking. He is very passionate about nurturing and developing talent and strongly believes in the power of an inclusive and diverse workforce for building a sustainable and responsible business.

Klaus Langner

CFO, TÜV SÜD South Asia, South-East Asia, Middle East and Africa Region
Mr. Klaus Langner was appointed as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the TÜV SÜD South & South-East Asia, Middle East & Africa region on July 1, 2017. In this role, he is responsible for financial and risk management, corporate development, strategic planning, performance management and corporate governance in this vast and diverse market. Prior to this appointment, Klaus was the CFO for the ASEAN region at TÜV SÜD.

Before joining TÜV SÜD, Klaus was a Partner & Managing Director at a leading strategy consulting firm, The Boston Consulting Group, and brings 16 years of experience in consulting top management on corporate and business unit strategy. He also served as a consultant for the United Nations World Food Program in East Timor and is a passionate advocate for non-profit causes related to improving children welfare, education, disaster and humanitarian relief.

After living in Germany and the United States, Klaus has been based in Singapore since 2001 and worked throughout Asia Pacific. He holds an MBA with distinction from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a Masters in Industrial Engineering and Business Administration from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).

Jonas Strahberger

CEO, TÜV SÜD ASEAN
Jonas Strahberger is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of TÜV SÜD ASEAN, overseeing operations in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. As CEO, Jonas is responsible for the overall P&L and strategic development of the region. With a background in international management and leadership, Jonas brings extensive experience in developing and implementing new, sustainable ways to drive transformation in the Testing, Inspection and Certification sector. Previously Jonas led the global Business Vertical around Lifts, Cranes and Conveyors in TÜV SÜD’s Real Estate and Infrastructure Division. In 2013, he began his career as an Executive in Finance and Controlling in TÜV SÜD’s Product Service Division and has worked in various management positions and geographies since then.

Jonas holds a Master of Science in Management and Technology from the Technical University of Munich, Germany.

Dhruv Subbiah

Senior Vice President, Head of Product Service, TÜV SÜD ASEAN
Mr. Dhruv Subbiah leads the Product Service for Southeast Asia region and is responsible for guiding the team in identifying new opportunities, expanding into emerging markets, strengthening partnerships, and nurturing talent development to drive commercial success and growth in the ASEAN region. As head of Product Service, Dhruv integrates all of TÜV SÜD ASEAN’s laboratory resources and capabilities to deliver trusted testing and certification solutions, ensuring customers bring safe, secure, and sustainable products to the market.

Dhruv is a seasoned leader with over 25 years of experience in senior leadership positions, business management, sales management, engineering, and operations. Before joining TÜV SÜD in November 2024, Dhruv worked for Festo, a renowned German multinational company, where he held various roles across Germany, Singapore, Malaysia, and Vietnam. These positions were primarily focused on business development, improving market position, developing people, and driving change. Dhruv has successfully led diverse teams in Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, China, and Korea, and brings valuable international experience from his roles in Germany and India.

Furthermore, Dhruv is a naturalized German with Indian roots and holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Karlsruhe in Germany (KIT).

Foo Soo Guan

Senior Vice President, Head of Industry & Infrastructure & Business Assurance, TÜV SÜD ASEAN
Mr. Foo Soo Guan is Head of Industry & Infrastructure (I&I) and Business Assurance for TÜV SÜD ASEAN. He is responsible for setting the overall divisional strategy and direction across the ASEAN region, ensuring sustainable growth and strong market positioning across both divisions.

In his role as Head of I&I, he leads the full Industry & Infrastructure services portfolio, encompassing Industry Services, Building Lifecycle Services, and Lift, Cranes & Conveyors. He drives strategic growth and the delivery of complex, high‑value technical service lines, while integrating I&I capabilities to support customers across their industrial, building, and infrastructure lifecycle requirements.

In parallel, Mr. Foo continues to oversee the Business Assurance (ASEAN) division, where he is responsible for aligning corporate and divisional requirements across the region for auditing services, cybersecurity services, management system certification, training, and personal certification. He ensures cohesive execution of strategic priorities and consistent service delivery across ASEAN.

Mr. Foo joined TÜV SÜD in 2016 as Vice President and Segment Lead for Smart Infrastructure, where he developed the Lift Manager predictive maintenance solution, contributing to a regulatory shift in Singapore’s lift maintenance regime. He subsequently held key leadership roles within the Real Estate & Infrastructure business, including leading Innovation Services, where he advanced sustainability and digitalisation initiatives through certifications such as ISO 19650.

Prior to joining TÜV SÜD, he spent over 17 years in the IT industry across both the private and public sectors, with extensive experience in IT management, sales, and business development.

Richard Hong

Executive Vice President, TÜV SÜD South Asia, South-East Asia, Middle East and Africa Region
Mr. Richard Hong is the Executive Vice President of TÜV SÜD South Asia & Southeast Asia, Middle East & Africa region (ASMEA). Richard focuses on maintaining and expanding TÜV SÜD’s network within the ASEAN region, and collaborates with key stakeholders in Singapore. He is the TÜV SÜD Ambassador and Professional Coach for the company's Key Talent Pool in ASMEA.

With over 30 years at TÜV SÜD, Richard has held leadership roles, including CEO of TÜV SÜD ASEAN and Global ICM Director of TÜV SÜD Product Service. Richard played a pivotal role in TÜV SÜD’s ASEAN growth, building new competencies and strong industry relationships. His leadership earned him the NTUC Medal of Commendation (2024) for contributions to the Labour Movement and Singapore Industrial and Services Employees' Union.

Beyond TÜV SÜD, he serves a leadership position in multiple industry panels, including Singapore Manufacturing Federation, Plastic Recycling Association of Singapore, SGTECH Digital Trust Chapter, IECEE Policy & Strategy Committee, Interim Sustainability Standards Committee established by ACRA, and members of the Advisory Committee for the International Electrotechnical Commission General Meeting 2027. Richard also serves as a mentor in the Singapore Leaders Network Fellowship Mentoring Programme (SGLN), and the Singapore Polytechnic EEE Alumni Mentorship Programme (AMP).

Richard holds a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, a Master of Science (Industrial & Systems Engineering) from National University of Singapore, a Master of Finance from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and the Certified Financial Planner certification from the Financial Planning Association of Singapore. Richard is also an ICF Associate Certified Coach, a Gallup-Certified CliftonStrengths Coach, an Accredited Belbin® Team Role Coach, a Team Psychological Safety Certified Practitioner, a Certified Mental Wellness Coach & Facilitator, and a Certified Career Coach.
