After a consultation period running August 26th to September 23rd, the UK Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy have recently updated the Electromagnetic Compatibility Regulations 2016 (S.I. 2016 No. 1091) Designated Standards list. This UKCA EMC designated standard update today means they now currently align with the EMC Official Journal of Harmonised Standards which was updated 15th March 2021 and adds for example EN 55035:2017/A11:2020 to the designated standards.
TÜV SÜD TECHNICAL ANALYSIS
The Original publication was CISPR 35:2016, of which EN 55035:2017 is the UK Designated version. EN 55035:2017/A11:2020 is still derived from CISPR 35: 2016; there is no updated CISPR version so technically the content is the same. The only thing that has been changed in this amendment is implementation date and conflicting standards withdrawal date.
