TÜV SÜD expands UKAS scope to include key Korean EMC standards

Posted by: Charlotte Pemberton-Bennetts Date: 10 Jul 2025

TÜV SÜD has added additional Korean EMC standards to our UKAS-accredited labs in Bearley and Fareham, enabling many products entering the South Korean market to be tested entirely in the UK.

The updated scope covers a wide range of product types, from consumer electronics and industrial equipment, to designs using radio modules pre-approved in Korea. This allows manufacturers to simplify their approval process, reducing the need for local retesting, and accelerating market access.

Here’s a full list of the Korean EMC standards now in scope:

KS C standards (focusing on electrical and electronic equipment and their related components)

  • KS C 9610-6-1:2019 (equivalent IEC 61000-6-1)
  • KS C 9610-6-2:2019 (equivalent IEC 61000-6-2)
  • KS C 9610-6-3:2023 (equivalent IEC 61000-6-3)
  • KS C 9610-6-4:2023 (equivalent IEC 61000-6-4)
  • KS C 9811:2019 (equivalent CISPR 11)
  • KS C 9832:2024 (equivalent CISPR 32)
  • KS C 9835:2019 (equivalent CISPR 35)

KS X standards (focusing on information and communication technologies):

  • KS X 3124:2024 (EN 301 489-1)
  • KS X 3125:2020 (EN 301 489-3)
  • KS X 3126:2024 (EN 301 489-17)
  • KS X 3129:2020 (EN 301 489-52)
