Edris Joonaki Presenting at Global Flow Measurement WorkshopSharing our Flow Measurement & Flare Optimisation Expertise at the Global Flow Measurement Workshop

A team from TÜV SÜD National Engineering Laboratory recently returned from a successful trip to the Global Flow Measurement Workshop (GFMW) held in Norway. GFMW is the foremost flow measurement event in the world and this year’s workshop featured an impressive array of cutting-edge technologies, solutions, and first-class technical presentations. TÜV SÜD were proud to be involved with three informative technical papers:

Investigation of the Transferability of Calibration Between Alternative Fluids for Liquid and Dense Phase Carbon Dioxide Fiscal Flow Measurement

Dr Gabriele Chinello, Head of CCUS, and Russell Brown, CCUS Flow Measurement Consultant, TÜV SÜD

Measurement Challenges of Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) Process due to the Phase Behaviour of CO2

Saketh Mahalingam, Aramco Overseas, and Edris Joonaki, Consultant, TÜV SÜD

Optimizing Coriolis Flowmeter Performance for the Brazilian O&G Industry: Influence Factors and Calibration Strategies

Our team also had a dedicated stand at the workshop where our experts were busy answering questions and discussing potential collaborations for services ranging from flow measurement to flare optimisation as part of our flaring and venting services for the oil and gas industry and carbon capture usage and storage (CCUS). It was a unique opportunity for attendees to gain an insight into how our services can support their businesses by improving efficiency and precision in flow measurement systems.

Colin Lightbody, Principal Consultant at TÜV SÜD, was part of the Norway committee that organised the event and is also Chair of the GFMW in Scotland which is organised by TÜV SÜD. He gave a short speech on GFMW 2024 which will be in Aberdeen, Scotland. We’re already in the process of organising next year’s GFMW. The Call for Abstracts is open until 29 February. If you’re interested in securing your tickets at the early bird rate, visit our GFMW web page to sign up to the mailing list.

Thanks to everyone who attended one of our presentations, visited our stand and talked to our team. We hope that you found it useful to learn about the expertise and solutions we offer to improve efficiency and accuracy in flow measurement systems.
