Functional Safety is one of the important topics in the Automotive Industry. It is thus imperative in the automotive supply chain to design products in compliance with ISO 26262. And while the industry is traversing towards maturity in conforming to ISO 26262, there have been challenges for addressing the safety of the intended function (SOTIF) in accordance with ISO 21448. In addition to this, hackers have also proved how the vehicle can be controlled remotely in a manner that is contrary to the driver's intention. This demands cyber security, addressed by ISO 21434, to also be a part of automotive safety. Given the present scenario, the industry applies an iterative approach with respect to SOTIF and cyber security, as it identifies new threats and unknown unsafe areas of the intended function. This may demand an update of the design even with the released product depending on the criticality of the failure effect.
In this complimentary on-demand webinar, TÜV SÜD’s expert will take the participants through a short presentation to discuss a possible approach to address functional safety, SOTIF and cyber security with the help of the released standards. To view the webinar, fill up the adjacent form now.
