On July 13, TÜV SÜD co-organised with Society of Automotive Engineers of China (“SAE-China”) and China Automotive Technology & Research Center (“CATARC”) and Tianjin Automotive Test Center (“TATC”) to hold “The 2nd SAE-China Auto Testing Technology Annual Conference & 2017 International Technical Summit of Auto Safety, Energy Saving and Intelligence”, which attracted over 200 attendees from government supervision organizations, research institutes, colleges, numerous well-known enterprises and financial research institutes. Starting from different aspects, participants had multi-dimensional discussion on current research situation and development direction of intelligent network connection, new energy technology, emission and energy saving, etc. during the meeting.
TÜV SÜD, as co-organiser of this Technical Summit, assigned many Sino-Germany experts from Auto Service Department, System Management Service Department and TÜV SÜD Academy to make keynote speech on current situation of intelligent drive legislation and testing technology, background information safety management of intelligent cars and high voltage safety of electric vehicles, to bring brand new knowledge experience for participants with the most cutting-edge research perspective and professional experience.
Dr. Houssem Abdelatiff, Global Head Autonomous Driving and ADAS of TÜV SÜD, denoted during panel discussion: “As the sole technical service provider participating in project PEGASUS in Germany, TÜV SÜD has formulated the quality standard and testing methods of highly automatic driving systems together with 16 industrial and research partners. At the same time, TÜV SÜD has also joined CETRAN project of Singapore to formulate test standard of urban automatic vehicles. Nowadays, TÜV SÜD is committed to assisting enterprises to prevent risks resulting from new technology, and providing product safety tests, functional safety analysis and appraisal, network safety appraisal, product type tests and certification services for the automotive industry in the field of unmanned driving.”
In the future, with vigorous development of intelligent driving technology and popularization of new energy vehicles, TÜV SÜD will also provide auto full life cycle service for domestic enterprises of China.
