Possible search terms include: the main focus of the certification mark (e.g. Usability), name of the manufacturer, model number (displayed on the rating plate of your product), product name, certificate number
In line with our TÜV SÜD Product Service certification mark philosophy and our Code of Ethics, we reserve the right to reject applications for certification on a case-by-case basis if they are in conflict with legal requirements, the TÜV SÜD brand, our quality standards and corporate image, and the TÜV SÜD brand code.
In case of products defined by the manufacturer as medical devices by virtue of their intended use, we reserve the right in particular to refuse to initiate a conformity assessment procedure if a further (non-medical) purpose or misuse is obvious and/or this “dual use” could fall into sectors that lie outside the scope of TÜV SÜD Product Service.
In case of products declared as industrial or consumer goods, we reserve the right in particular to refuse to certify the safety of products that present electrical or mechanical risks to the user or that could cause a malfunction of another product, as well as products that are typically used in industries that lie outside the scope of TÜV SÜD Product Service.
