Online examinations offered by TÜV SÜD US Academy are monitored using EURO software from PRUEFSTER Onlineprüfungen GmbH. We like to enable our examination participants to attain their required certification at a time that suits them by means of an online examination. Participants can therefore determine where they would like to sit their examination. You can find our data protection information here.
If you use a VPN connection, e.g. for company networks, we recommend disabling it during the system check and test. For company devices, please clarify the deactivation with your IT administrator or forward the network instructions for the use of EURO accordingly. You can find these here.
Please watch our animated videos explaining the procedure.
After applying for an online examination, the participant receives an e-mail from TUV SUD Exam. The link contained in this e-mail leads participants to a page where they grant their consent to the monitoring process. Once the participant has granted their consent to the process, the link is valid for the required system check and for the examination itself. The system check (technical inspection) should be completed as far in advance of the examination as possible in order to resolve any technical issues in good time ahead of the examination. Please carry out the system check on the device with which you will later carry out the exam!
After successful completion of the system check, the participant uses the same link within the time window specified in the e-mail recieved, to take the online exam. The participant repeats the technical exam again, identifies themself by recording their face and ID card, and unlocking their desktop. The participant takes the exam and completes it.
Upon request, participants can access technical support through the online chat function before or during the online examination by clicking on a blue button at the bottom right of the EURO page. Support is provided by the specialists working for our German service provider. Use of the chat function is optional.

The participant undertakes to meet these requirements in full. Failure or refusal to meet these requirements may cause the certification body to issue a result of attempted cheating, deception or disqualify the participant when they review the examination.
Examples:
In the event of technical problems with the laptop/PC (e.g. PC crashes during the examination) or the Internet connection is disrupted, the examination is deemed terminated and must be repeated. Should this happen, please get in touch with us.
Every examination from TÜV SÜD US Academy has its own examination regulations that describe the permitted resources, for instances. There may be supplementary regulations for online examinations. The examination regulation/s and any supplementary regulations shall apply.
Terms and conditions / Examination regulations
Webcam, screen content (and optionally the camera of a mobile device) are sent by participants via WebRTC stream to the PRUEFSTER backend.
The addresses:
must be accessible with PTP (except for socket.euro.pruefster.com), UDP and TCP connections. Servers are accessible via ports 80 and 443.
The examination is recorded and, once completed, reviewed by the certification body. For full details of the procedure right up to erasure of the recording, please see "Review stage of the Record & Review procedure". At the beginning of the session, an identification of the participant takes place, during which a picture of the ID card is taken and stored. Afterwards, a recording of the webcam and screenshare monitoring starts. After the end of the session, both sets of data continue to be stored. As soon as the identification of the participant is done, the ID-card image is deleted.
The examination is monitored online in real time by a proctor. Participants can contact the online examination supervisor via the chat function. The instructions of the online examination supervisor must be followed. The examination session is not recorded. At the beginning of the session, an identification of the participant takes place, during which an image of the ID card is taken and stored. The image can be accessed by the proctor during the session. At the end of the live session, this image is automatically deleted.
To find out which procedure the required examination follows, see Procedure by product.
Within 21 working days of the examination being completed, the recording is reviewed. Examination recordings that reveal no cause for suspicion are erased immediately after the review via the implemented monitoring software. If the examination result is positive and the requirements have been fulfilled, the certification is approved and the participant is sent their certificate.
When recordings reveal reason to suspect the use of prohibited resources, the assistance of third parties, or when the recording is incomplete or the participant has recorded the content of the examination (using software, photography or note-taking), the examination will be assessed as a fail and the participant is notified of this decision. Within four weeks of receipt of this notification, the participant has the right to appeal against the decision and to request to view the recording of the suspicious activity free of charge online via Microsoft Teams. Appeals can be made by sending an informal e-mail to [email protected] or submitted in writing.
If upon viewing the recording online, the participant confirms in writing their acceptance of the certification body's decision, then the recording of the participant is erased immediately. If upon viewing the recording online, the participant does not accept the certification body's decision, then the recording is held on file until the appeals process is ultimately resolved. If the participant does not file an appeal against the certification body's decision within four weeks, then the decision is deemed accepted by the participant and the recording is erased after these four weeks. TÜV SÜD US Academy reserves the right to permanently exclude participants who have been proven to have cheated/attempted to cheat from any further online examinations operated by TÜV SÜD US Academyf
The proctoring platform allows participants to take their examinations online yet still be monitored. Examination supervisors can use computer screens, and audio streams and video streams from the participant's microphone and webcam to monitor the examination.
Administrators and other employees from the certification body can set up and manage examinations and participants on the platform, and establish the connections to other platforms to which participants are forwarded in order to process the content of the examination. As such, EURO provides the monitoring framework for the examination but is not connected with the actual examinations or their content.
The streaming architecture is hosted by 1&1 IONOS SE in Germany.
