Course Description
To ensure the safety of food products, and to reduce the risks of consumer exposure to contaminated or unsafe foods, food producers have introduced internal quality control programs. These programs often require their suppliers to demonstrate compliance with industry-standard food safety requirements, protocols, and testing procedures. ISO 22000 is an international standard designed to ensure food supply chain safety worldwide, enabling organizations to demonstrate their ability to control food safety hazards and ensure that food is safe for human consumption.
In this self-paced, online course, you will learn about the major changes and developments made in the 2018 version of the ISO 22000 Food Safety Management System. Find out how these new changes will affect your organization and explore how you can adapt to the updated standard.
You will gain knowledge in setting up a FSMS—from understanding the purpose and benefits of FSMS to learning how to apply the ISO 22000:2018 requirements in your organization to help you gain the trust of stakeholders (regulators, primary producers, food manufacturers and packers, retailers and consumers). Your partners want to know that you have the knowledge and ability to control food safety hazards while ensuring that the food you produce is safe for human consumption.
