Regulatory Compliance in Turkey for Chemical Substances

WHAT IS THE KKDIK REGULATION?

The KKDIK Regulation implemented in the Republic of Turkey pursues the same objectives as the REACH Regulation and establishes similar procedures. The KKDIK Regulation came into force in December 2017 and the acronym is equivalent to REACH terms:

  • Kimyasalların: Chemicals.
  • Kayit: Registration.
  • Değerlendirme: Evaluation.
  • Izni: Authorization.
  •  Kısıtlanması: Restriction.

 

Manufacturers or importers of chemical substances in quantities greater than or equal to one ton per year (as such, in mixtures or substances and mixtures contained in articles) in Turkey shall submit the relevant registration to the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization (MoEU) of Turkey before December 31, 2023.
