Mexico: Approval of Standard NMX-I-J-324-NYCE-ANCE-2022 on Integrated Light Emitting Diode (LED) Lamps for General Lighting - Safety requirements and Test Methods, March 2022

On 17 March 2022, the Mexican Secretariat of Economics published a declaration which is to set up standard NMX-I-J-324-NYCE-ANCE-2022 on integrated Light Emitting Diode (LED) lamps for general lighting (safety requirements and test methods).

The standard establishes the safety and interchangeability requirements and test methods or conditions for the compliance requirements of integrated LED lamps, which are intended for domestic use and similar general lighting purposes. The applicable lamps shall meet below specifications:

1. A nominal power of up to 150 W;
2. A nominal voltage greater than 50 V and up to 277 V; and
3. Caps according to Table 1.

The standard is based on IEC 62560, except for the modifications set out in the table of this declaration.

This standard will be in force on 13 September 2022 (180 days since the publication date of this declaration in the Official Gazette).
