Applications for IMEI allocations are made on-line. You must register your organisation before you can apply for an IMEI allocation. Following registration, you will be allocated an Organisation Code and password; this code must be remembered for use in subsequent IMEI applications.
Only organisations covered by the above definition or their authorised representative are eligible to obtain IMEI block allocations. A letter of authorisation for such representatives should be provided to TÜV SÜD BABT prior to the application. An OEM manufacturer or a test laboratory can act as the authorised agent.
The on-line registration form requests detailed information be provided about the organisation. Registration will not be accepted unless all mandatory fields (*) in the on-line form are completed to support the application.
Evidence must be provided with (or in addition to) the application to ensure the applicant is a legitimate organisation. To establish this the application form requests:
You must comply with the Radio Equipment Directive (RED) if you intend to sell your equipment in Europe or if your equipment roams into a European country.
TÜV SÜD BABT will assess the application and, if acceptable, allocate the organisation with an Organisation Code. This code must be remembered for use in subsequent IMEI applications.
TÜV SÜD BABT reserves the right to refuse applications where there is doubt about the validity of the applicant. A refused application may be re-submitted with additional evidence of validity.
An organisation or authorised representative seeking organisation registration should submit a completed copy of the on-line forms at: Register to apply for IMEIs
