RED update: Implementing decision (EU) 2026/2003

The European Commission has published a further update for the Radio Equipment Directive (RED) Official Journal (OJ) of harmonised standards via Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2026/2003 of 04 September 2026 which was cited in the RED Official Journal 07 September 2026. This update includes the first citation of 8 new standards and 5 new versions of standards.

As expected, this update includes the body SAR EN 50566:2017/A2:2025 update for a 0mm separation distance for products used in close proximity to the body. This standard, and the other new versions of the standards cited, have been cited with a standard 18-month (until 07 March 2028) withdrawal of presumption of conformity for the previous cited standard versions.
