Namibia: Exemption letter

The Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN) has updated the exemption list in light of the new regulations in force since 21 August 2023.

Telecommunications equipment exempted from type approval must be added to the CRAN type approval exemption register, published periodically on the Regulator's website.

Exemption letters older than 6 months are not accepted by customs. Therefore, manufacturers must apply for exemption letter renewal every six months.

Previous exemption letters must be re-applied in accordance with the new regulation to be registered in the database.
