ts-pr-johannes-bussmannTÜV SÜD AG and its CEO, Dr. Johannes Bussmann, will not extend the contract that runs until 31 December 2025. Johannes Bussmann will leave TÜV SÜD at his own request to join the aviation company MTU Aero Engines AG.

“After two years of extremely interesting work for TÜV SÜD, I have decided to take on a leading position in aviation technology as Chairman of the Board of Management of MTU Aero Engines in the course of the coming year. This decision was not an easy one for me to make, because I have been enthusiastic about my work for TÜV SÜD AG from the very beginning. The company is excellently positioned and has very promising prospects, both nationally and globally. The course has been set for continued, highly successful development. However, the offer from MTU Aero Engines gives me the rare opportunity to return to an industry that I am absolutely passionate about. As an aerospace engineer who has spent almost his entire professional life in aviation, I have therefore accepted this offer. It goes without saying that I will continue to perform my duties with the same level of commitment in the coming months until my successor takes office, ensuring a smooth transition.”

Wolfgang Dehen, Chairman of the Supervisory Board: “Johannes Bussmann and his team have delivered measurable success, and he has personally initiated forward-looking developments. It is with great regret that I have accepted his decision not to extend his contract. The company owes him a debt of gratitude. The Supervisory Board will now immediately begin discussions to organize his succession.”
