TÜV SÜD has received a gold award in the EcoVadis sustainability rating with 78 out of a possible 100 points. This means that TÜV SÜD is once again among the top 5 percent of the companies rated in its category. EcoVadis assesses the sustainability performance of companies in the four areas of the environment, labor and human rights, ethics and procurement.
“We are very pleased to receive this award and the external confirmation that our measures for a future worth living are targeted and effective. This recognition encourages us to initiate further measures and activities that will bring us one step closer to our goal of becoming the most sustainable company in the testing, inspection and certification (TIC) industry,” explains Dr. Céline Bilolo, Chief Sustainability Officer at TÜV SÜD AG. “We have reorganized internally and revised our strategy in 2024, while also implementing further measures. The biggest levers in our own business activities are our real estate and the mobility of our employees. We have developed science-based decarbonization pathways for both areas and have begun implementing them. We have sharpened our service portfolio for customers and will continuously expand it with new services.”
In recent years, TÜV SÜD has analyzed and realigned sustainability activities across all areas of the group and anchored numerous new guidelines in the management framework manual, defined key figures and measures, and started implementing them. The testing group's commitment is being increasingly recognized and judged to be effective and targeted. In the globally used EcoVadis rating, the testing group achieved 78 points and scored particularly well in the areas of “Environment”, “Labor and Human Rights” and “Sustainable Procurement”. TÜV SÜD is thus among the top 5 percent of rated companies in its category and has been awarded a medal for the fourth year in a row.
