Key changes and how to prepare for 2027
Online 10AM BSTOn the 29 June 2023, the new EU Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230, was published to replace the current Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC). As of 14 January 2027, the Machinery Directive will be repealed, when the new EU Machinery Regulation will apply, with exceptions in specific clause. Currently, a transition period is underway where a manufacturer can decide to comply with either the Machinery Directive or the new Machinery Regulation.
The core content of the Machinery Regulation remains similar to the Machinery Directive, where changes have been made to keep up to date with technological advancements.
