THAILAND: ESTABLISHING industrial standard 61058 part 1 switches for appliances: general requirements

On 9 November 2023, Ministry of Industry in Thailand published an announcement No. 7232, B.E. 2566, 2023 which established the industrial product standard (TIS) 61058 part 1: switches for appliances (general requirements).

The standard is to modify the industrial product standard (TIS) 2593 part 1: switches for appliances (general requirements which was issued by Announcement 4983, 2017).

The standard indicates the covered product scope, definitions, general requirements, testing methods, ratings, classification, labelling and marking requirements, and etc. 

The standard is applicable to switches for appliances that control the electrical appliances and other household appliances with a rated voltage up to 480V and a rated current up to 63A.
