JUNE 2022 - ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS, HARDLINES, SOFTLINES, TOYS AND CHILDREN'S PRODUCTS
On 10 June 2022, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) published the 27th update of the REACH candidate list1. One (1) new Substance of Very High Concern (SVHC) was added. Hence, the total number of entries of SVHCs on the candidate list increases from 223 to 2242.
During March and April 2022, ECHA launched a public consultation and proposed one substance to be identified as SVHC. Now, this substance is identified as an SVHC and included in the REACH candidate list. Moreover, resorcinol3 is still pending for being included in the SVHC candidate list, as the European Commission (EC) has not published its decision about this issue yet.
Table A lists the new SVHC included in the 27th update of the Candidate List.
