TÜV SÜD Industrial Services is a NOTIFIED BODY, with identification number 0036 according to European guideline 2014/68/EU (also known as PED or Pressure Equipment Directive), introduced on the 29th of May 2002.

The PED 2014/68/EU (Pressure Equipment Directive) is applicable to all stationary installations used in the European Union, with a pressure exceeding 0,5 bar. Examples of installations according to the guideline:
The PED is also applied to the construction and compilation of the installations mentioned above, also known as building groups. The PED covers all essential demands, but doesn’t give specifications for design, production and testing. Solutions can be found by using national standards, arrangements and harmonised standards.
TÜV SÜD Industrial Services is also notified for European guideline 2010/35/EC, also called TPED (Transportable Pressure Equipment Directive). The TPED is similar to PED but is designed for free traffic of non-stationary pressure appliances such as class 2 ADR/RID gas canisters, within the European community.
