Student Development

Gaining work experience is the perfect way to better understand the sort of roles and opportunities that may be right for you. We offer a range of interesting placement opportunities:

Work Experience whilst at school and college
An opportunity for young people to experience working life while they are still at school and college. TÜV SÜD supports work experience schemes and also offers placement opportunities to students at local colleges. It presents them with a chance to learn and use a range of transferable skills, personal qualities and competencies which, when combined will contribute towards their future employability.

Undergraduate Placement/Sandwich Student Opportunities
Each year we have a number of opportunities for undergraduates to join us. These usually last 10 - 12 months and are available to students studying a full-time university degree course. You will have the opportunity to gain a valuable industry insight and learn more about yourself, your strengths and areas for development.

Shorter periods and vacation opportunities are also considered against specific requirements.

Sponsored Students
Following a successful placement with us, many undergraduates are offered sponsorship in their final year of university and are given priority against any recruitment opportunities when they graduate.

Vacation Students
We offer vacation opportunities subject to particular requirements or to identify suitable placement students.

Graduate development programme
Our graduate programme covers engineering and business disciplines. The programme is designed to give graduates a good understanding of all areas of our business.

Graduates are aided in their development with guidance on how to manage their career path. They have support from the central graduate development team and through the use of mentors.
