Patrick Vollmer 

Chairman of the Board of Management / CEO, TÜV SÜD AG 

Patrick Vollmer was born in 1971 in Germany. He holds an MBA in Business and Economics from the University of Hohenheim, Germany. 

Patrick began his professional career in his family’s industrial business before joining Accenture in 1997. In his early career, he also founded and managed a consulting company, gaining entrepreneurial experience in corporate transformation and growth. 

At Accenture, Patrick held several senior leadership positions with responsibility for industrial and service clients across multiple international markets. From 2015 to 2021, he was responsible for the Industrial Equipment sector, working with clients across the automotive, industrial equipment, infrastructure, and testing, inspection and certification industries.

Between 2021 and 2024, he headed Accenture’s Products business unit in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, supporting industrial, life sciences and consumer goods companies in business transformation, digitalisation, AI and new business models. Most recently, since 2024, he led Accenture’s global Industrials business, shaping and executing the firm’s global industry strategy and talent agenda. 

Patrick has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer (Chairman of the Board of Management) of TÜV SÜD AG as of February 2026. 

Sabine Nitzsche

Member of the Board of Management / CFO, TÜV SÜD AG

Sabine Nitzsche was born in 1972 in Dresden, Germany; she studied business administration at the Dresden University of Applied Sciences.

Sabine Nitzsche began her professional career at Infineon in 1994, where she held various positions in purchasing and project management before taking on commercial and strategic management positions at the Advanced Mask Technology Center between 2003 and 2011. From 2011 to 2021, she worked at the US semiconductor company GlobalFoundries, most recently as CFO for the EMEA region. Between 2021 and 2023, she was Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Executive Vice President of the automotive business segment for Infineon. Before joining TÜV SÜD, Sabine Nitzsche was CFO and member of the Executive Board at Vitesco Technologies.

Since March 2025, Sabine Nitzsche has been appointed as Member of the Board of Management and CFO at TÜV SÜD AG. 

Ishan Palit
Member of the Board of Management / COO, TÜV SÜD AG

Ishan Palit was born in 1968 in Mumbai, India. He studied in the USA and the UK and holds a Bachelors Degree from Davidson College, USA, a General Degree in Economics from the London School of Economics, UK and a Masters in Business Administration from Georgia Southern University, USA. 

He started his career with the American multinational “Rotary Corporation”, a supplier to the Automotive and Small Engine industry. Ishan Palit joined the TÜV SÜD Group in 1994 and founded the TÜV SÜD operations in India. As COO and then the CEO, he was responsible for the successful development of TÜV SÜD Asia Pacific and was subsequently promoted to CEO of the Global Product Service Division. 

He was appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the TÜV SÜD Group in May 2017, taking responsibility for operations and sales across all divisions and geographies. From July 2025 to February 2026, during a period of leadership transition, he additionally served as Chief Executive Officer (Chairman of the Board of Management) of TÜV SÜD AG.
