Jim HoltJim Holt returns TO TÜV SÜD National Engineering Laboratory

In January, we welcomed back Jim Holt as Head of Sales and Business Development for TÜV SÜD National Engineering Laboratory. Jim brings with him over 20 years’ experience in flow measurement including a period at TÜV SÜD National Engineering Laboratory as Head of Oil, Gas and Renewables. During that time Jim remembers being involved in the popular North Sea Flow Measurement Workshop events and world-leading joint industry projects such as Heavy Oil, Wet Gas and Multiphase measurement.

Jim started his mechanical engineering career in 1974 at Rolls Royce as an engineering apprentice. He spent the next 6 years working as an engineer in South Africa before moving into the industrial valve industry. His career in flow measurement began in 2001 when he moved to Advantica, before joining TÜV SÜD National Engineering Laboratory in 2003. After eight years leading our Oil, Gas and Renewables activities, Jim took on the challenge to head up the technical and metering integration business of an EPC contractor, before setting up a consultancy team to target the growing global measurement market.

Jim is excited about his return saying: “It’s fantastic to work with such innovative, knowledgeable colleagues who have a real thirst for satisfying clients’ challenges. It’s an interesting time to re-join the company as we are in the process of launching several new digital products to meet our clients’ needs for live, reliable, and safe up-to-the-minute information. This coupled with our growing consultancy business and rapid expansion into CCUS and hydrogen only adds to the excitement of my return."

Mark Roscoe, Director of TÜV SÜD National Engineering Laboratory, commented: “Jim’s experience will be invaluable to our business, particularly as we start to launch new flow measurement solutions and services. Taking our knowledge and ensuring we focus on resolving current and future measurement challenges across all aspects of industry means we have some really exciting times ahead.”
