Singapore. TÜV SÜD PSB has strategically acquired the A-Reliance business, expanding its competence in the inspection and testing of lifts, escalators, and their components. The acquisition further bolsters TÜV SÜD's footprint in Singapore and its position as one of the leading safety, security, and sustainability service providers in the lift and escalator industry.
In recent years, Singapore has seen a surge in construction activities, leading to a substantial increase in the demand for new lifts in newly developed buildings and the modernisation of existing lift and escalator systems. The current installation amount is approximately 70,000 passenger lifts and 7,000 escalators and will likely reach 90,000 lifts and escalators by 2030.
The acquisition of A-Reliance brings together a wealth of experience and further strengthens TÜV SÜD's position in playing a pivotal role in the ever-evolving demands and navigating the complexities of advancing technologies for lifts and escalators. Founded in 2017, A-Reliance is a leading Vertical Transportation service provider in Singapore, renowned for upholding stringent safety standards within the industry. The company prides itself with professional engineering competence for lifts and escalators with a dedicated team of Specialist Professional Engineers (SPEs), Professional Engineers (PEs), and Lift and Escalator Inspectors (LEIs). With this acquisition, TÜV SÜD will continue to offer A-Reliance's comprehensive suite of services, ranging from testing, commissioning, inspections, and safety audits to ensure safety for the local vertical transportation industry.
