Robert Kees takes over as CEO of the TÜV SÜD Business Assurance Division

Robert Kees assumed the role of CEO of the TÜV SÜD Business Assurance Division from 1 January 2024. In his new position, he is responsible for the continued strategic development of audit, assessment, training and certification services. In addition to those responsibilities, Robert Kees will also take on the role of management spokesperson of TÜV SÜD Management Service GmbH. Kees has worked for the international service company since 2012, holding various management positions.

“Providing a host of wide-ranging services, our Business Assurance Division assists companies in securing their economic viability for the future”, says Robert Kees. “I look forward to working with a strong team as we support our customers in meeting regulatory requirements, qualifying their employees, proving the reliability and performance of their systems and processes, and protecting their data and systems against cyber threats.”

Long-standing experience in the certification business
Robert Kees draws on a wealth of experience and expertise within the TÜV SÜD organisation. From 2017 he was responsible for global marketing activities, strategic account management, sales excellence and the newly established e-business unit within the TÜV SÜD Group. Prior to this, in his position as CEO of TÜV SÜD Product Service GmbH, Robert Kees was responsible for the company’s operational business, with sales and customer focus as his priorities. After graduating in Business Administration and Management from Augsburg University, Robert Kees gathered professional experience at various companies including the auditing and consulting firm KPMG.

“As CEO of the Business Assurance Division, I plan to focus primarily on driving internationalisation in our academy business. Further areas of focus concern sustainability and cybersecurity, in both of which TÜV SÜD can provide its customers with significant added value”, adds Kees.

Employing 2,000 people and generating sales of over 290 million euros in fiscal 2022, the Business Assurance Division is one of a total of five divisions in the TÜV SÜD Group.
