Technical Service of TÜV SÜD Auto Service GmbH has been designated as Technical Service by Luxembourg's Ministry of Mobility

With effect from February 15, 2019, the Technical Service of TÜV SÜD Auto Service GmbH (“Typpruefstelle”) has been designated as Technical Service by Luxembourg's Ministry of Mobility for the Approval Authority Société Nationale de Certification et d'Homologation s.à.r.l “SNCH” – Luxembourg. This authorises TÜV SÜD Auto Service GmbH to carry out the verification and the test prescribed by the directives and regulations of the European Union and by the ECE regulations specified in the scope of the issued designation.

The Designation by Approval Authority SNCH

SNCH (Société Nationale de Certification et d'Homologation), which is the responsible body for the certification and approval work and for the supervision of the Technical Service in Luxembourg, designated TÜV SÜD Auto Service GmbH as one of their Technical Service. One of the key steps to receive the designation is a positive audit report conducted by SNCH. A Technical Service is an organisation or body designated by an approval authority of a member state. Within the designation, the Technical Service will act as testing laboratory to carry out tests or as a conformity assessment body to carry out the initial assessment and other tests or inspections on behalf of the approval authority.

A customer-centric approach

In general, an approval authority is an authority of a Member State which is responsible for all aspects of type-approval as well as for the authorisation procedure and the issue/withdrawal of approval certificates. Beside the designation by SNCH, TÜV SÜD Auto Service GmbH is designated by KBA, RDW, VCA, NSAI and VSCC as Technical Service to offer a broad product portfolio to our customers and to provide flexible market access. Moreover, TÜV SÜD Auto Service GmbH is accredited according to ISO 17025:2005 by DAkkS (German accreditation body), which ensures a wide recognition of type approval beyond the European border.

The lately accomplished designation by SNCH is one further step to expand our service portfolio as Technical Service offered to OEMs, manufacturers and suppliers who want to approve their vehicles, systems, components and products via the approval authority SNCH. By having recognitions from several member states, we can support our customers with more flexibility within their global type-approval process.
