Ainul Sariyah Binte Ab Latif – Intern, Global Brand
"My time at TÜV SÜD really opened my eyes to how big and dynamic the marketing world can be. Coming from a small interior design firm, joining TÜV SÜD was a completely new experience, and it taught me how marketing functions on a much larger scale. The team was incredibly warm and welcoming. They made sure I never felt lost, and my supervisor struck the perfect balance between guiding me and giving me space to figure things out on my own. A key project I worked on was the WEO project, where I helped create and organise brand assets for the updated TUV SUD website. Other than designing, I ideated a system for organising the assets, which improved the team workflow. As my supervisor gave me the space to experiment, I was able to learn and introduce new tools to maximise efficiency."
Chan Jun Yi – Intern, Data Engineer Support
“During my internship at TÜV SÜD as a Data
Engineer, I had the opportunity to develop data pipelines and automation tasks
that improved operational efficiency and supported
the organisation’s move toward digitalisation. My role involved designing,
building and maintaining automated workflows that facilitate smoother data
processing and reduced manual effort for the team.
Beyond the
technical work, this internship gave me valuable hands-on experience in solving
real-world challenges and collaborating across departments. With the guidance
and support of my supervisors, I was able to better understand business
requirements and translate the needs into practical solutions that fit actual
operational processes.
Overall, this internship enabled me
to apply skills I have learnt in Python and automation tools, further
broadening my understanding of how data systems operate in the real-world
setting.”
Sitt Min Naing – Intern, Data Analytics
“During my internship at TÜV SÜD, I had the
opportunity to work closely with Branson, Dr. Yasser, Adeline, and the
Academy team under Business Assurance. My role revolved around data
analytics, process improvement, and building tools such as the sales tracker
and ops trackers for multiple ASEAN countries. These projects allowed me to
streamline workflows, automate processes, and support regional teams with
clearer, more efficient data insights.
One of the
most valuable experiences was collaborating with managers from different
ASEAN regions. This taught me a kind of effective communication you can’t
learn in school: the way you communicate with one country might not work with
another, so you have to stay adaptable, respectful, and open-minded. Working
across cultures helped me grow both professionally and personally.
The work
culture here is incredibly supportive — people are kind, patient, and always
willing to guide you. As long as you’re curious, proactive, and willing to
learn, TÜV SÜD is a place where you can explore what truly aligns with you.”
Lin Weilin – Intern, Product Management
“During my internship at TÜV SÜD, I supported
mainly the Web Experience Optimisation (WEO) project. My work involved
assisting with the large-scale content migration into Sitecore, ensuring
accuracy, consistency, and proper tagging across regional pages. I also
participated in testing new platform features before rollout, helping to
identify usability issues and contributing feedback to improve platform
stability and user experience.
Additionally, I worked on a slide
deck exploring Sitecore’s AI Search capabilities as part of the WEO project.
This involved analysing how the current search experience functions today and
outlining how AI-driven search could enhance content discoverability,
relevance, and user journeys across the website.
What I appreciated most was the
supportive and collaborative environment, everyone was genuinely friendly and
willing to help, creating a very encouraging environment throughout my
internship. I always felt comfortable asking questions and taking ownership of
my tasks. This internship strengthened my interest in digital product work and
provided meaningful hands-on experience in content operations and web
optimisation.”
Tiffany Suwarko – Intern, Business Development
“My internship at TÜV SÜD has been a meaningful and
transformative experience. I supported the development of content strategies
aimed at highly positioned individuals, working on topics such as leadership,
sustainability, business continuity, and information security. This deepened my
understanding of how standards contribute to organizational resilience.
One of
my highlights was collaborating closely with the SMU intern team to create and
execute a regional webinar for Vietnam, Philippines, and Indonesia, where we
promoted bundled ISO courses. Working as a team taught me the importance of
clear communication, coordination, and adaptability when handling cross-market
projects. I’m grateful for the mentorship and opportunities that allowed me to
grow throughout this experience.”
Lim Zi Xuan – Intern, Associate Engineer (Reliability Testing – Packaging)
“My internship at TÜV SÜD has been an enriching and hands-on learning experience where I gained practical exposure to Packaging Testing and UN Mark Testing under ASTM, ISTA, and UN standards. I assisted in key laboratory tests such as drop, compression, vibration, and climatic conditioning, and supported preparations for the UN Mark Audit through documentation, equipment verification, and e-filing. A highlight of my internship was completing my CDIO project, where I designed and built a Height Gauge Drop Tester and helped automate compression graph generation, improving workflow efficiency and accuracy in the lab. Throughout these six months, I developed strong technical skills, teamwork, communication, and adaptability, making this internship a valuable step in my growth as an aspiring engineer.”
Lim Zhen Hui Janelle – Technical Executive Intern (Site Sampling)
“During my internship at TÜV SÜD as a Technical
Executive Intern in the CHM-13 department, I gained hands-on experience in both
technical and administrative tasks. I assisted with reporting, processed
laboratory data into client reports, and used SAP for job creation, invoicing,
and documentation, giving me insight into how technical teams coordinate with
sales, supervisors, and clients. I also supported project archiving, equipment
preparation, and report drafting for various workplace and environmental tests.
A major highlight was participating in on-site monitoring activities,
including noise monitoring, source emission testing, compressed gas testing,
industrial hygiene assessments, and indoor air quality evaluations. These
experiences helped me understand real-world environmental standards and how
different industries maintain safety and compliance.
Throughout the internship, I strengthened key soft skills—communication,
adaptability, time management—as well as technical skills in environmental
monitoring, documentation, and safety practices. Overall, this internship was
invaluable in linking my academic knowledge to industry practice, deepening my
interest in environmental testing, and motivating me to pursue a career in
environmental engineering. I am truly grateful for the experience and would
welcome the opportunity to return to the company.”
