China: GB19761-2020 approved on Minimum Allowable Values of Energy Efficiency and Energy Efficiency Grades for Fans

OCTOBER 2020 - ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS

On the 29 May 2020, the Chinese State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) approved GB19761-2020  which is the measures for fan minimum allowable values of energy efficiency and test methods. It replaces standard GB19761-2009.

This standard applies to:

• general-purpose centrifugal fans, 
• general-purpose axial flow fans, 
• centrifugal induced draft fans for industrial boilers and power station boilers,
• heart-type fans, 
• axial fans for power stations, 
• centrifugal fans for HVAC, and
• forward multi-wing centrifugal fans.

The exempted products include:

• ducted fans, 
• box fans, 
• voluteless centrifugal fans, and 
• other uses and special structures for air conditioning.
