Vermont Department of Health adopted the changes in its rule amendment1of the chemical disclosure program for children’s products. This chemical disclosure program requires manufacturers to report chemicals designated by the state as Chemicals of High Concern in Children’s Products (CHCC). The amendment will be effective on 15 August 2019 and incorporates the requirements of recently passed bill (S.55)2 reported in June.

In this amendment, the Department of Health decided not to include any chemical that degrades to release a listed chemical. This topic and reporting periods will be discussed in a public workshop on 5 September 2019.
