Course Description
Electric vehicles are no longer a rarity these days, so more and more people are coming into contact with them. Since electric drives work with high voltages, there are some dangers occurring when handling electric vehicles.
TÜV SÜD Academy’s HV Safety Learning Pathway begins with Fundamentals of High Voltage Systems in Electric Vehicles (Level 1).
In this training, you will learn what to look out for when handling electric vehicles, which dangers arise from electricity and how you can best protect yourself against it.
The following topics await you in Level 1:
- What do I have to observe when dealing with electric vehicles?
- What components do electric vehicles consist of?
- What are the dangers of electric current?
- What are the hazard limits and protective measures?
- What should I do in the event of an electrical accident?
The learning path then continues to training as Qualified Safety Work for High Voltage Vehicle System in a De-energized State – Level 2, and finishes with Live Working EV Training: High-Voltage Vehicle Systems and Battery Safety – Level 3. These three courses are designed to help keep every member of your organization safe, regardless of physical involvement with new technology.
The Level 1 training is a digital self-paced overview course. The Level 2 is an instructor-led training course that exposes students to the fundamentals of electrical engineering and as well as an overview of HV systems in vehicles. Students who successfully complete Level 2 become qualified to take the Level 3 course to work with operational high voltage systems. Students who do not pass level 2 are not permitted to attend the Level 3 course.
