Battery Safety Specialist Program
This 3-day BatterySafety Specialist Program by TÜV SÜD South Asia provides a comprehensivefoundation in identifying, assessing, and mitigating EV battery hazards inreal-world environments. It builds strong safety awareness and practical competence for working with high-voltage EV batteries across their lifecycle.
Course Objective:
- Build awareness of EV battery risks (electrical, thermal, chemical, mechanical)
- Enable safe handling, storage, and maintenance practices
- Develop early fault detection and emergency response capability
- Strengthen facility-level safety readiness and compliance
You will gain practicaland theoretical knowledge to work safely with EV batteries by understanding keyrisk areas and how to control them. The course develops your ability torecognize electrical, thermal, chemical, and mechanical hazards, spot early warningsigns of battery failure, and apply correct safety practices in realsituations. You will learn proper use of PPE, Lockout/Tagout procedures, safehandling of cells, modules, and packs, as well as emergency response actionsfor fires or damaged batteries. By the end, you will also be able to assessfacility safety readiness, use basic diagnostic tools, and follow structuredsafety protocols when working with high-voltage battery systems.
By the end of theprogram, participants will be able to:
- Identify major EV battery hazards and their consequences
- Detect early warning signs of battery failure
- Apply PPE and safe handling methods for cells, modules, and packs
- Implement Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures correctly
- Execute fire safety and emergency response actions
- Evaluate facility safety readiness and storage conditions
