By embracing a holistic mindset and approach, we create safe and secure frameworks for these innovations. Our commitment to sustainability is ingrained in our actions as we responsibly shape the world of tomorrow This is why we are committed to sustainability goals including the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Climate Agreement. Starting from this, we have developed a comprehensive strategy for sustainability implementation. And we start this implementation in our own organisation—because we too are part of the transformation.  

Our sustainability strategy rests on the three pillars of Environment, Society, and Governance (ESG). We work on making responsible use of our natural resources, introducing continuous improvements in our employees’ welfare, and establishing efficient corporate governance. Our independence and impartiality in working toward these goals are ensured by the specific corporate structure of TÜV SÜD. 

Identification of the key action areas for corporate governance at TÜV SÜD also includes the results of surveys among our organisation's key internal and external stakeholders. They reflect a broad field of opinions from employees and executives, key accounts and selected academic experts, business auditing professionals and industry associations.  

Sustainability officers from various divisions of the organisation take care of the efficient and targeted implementation of the actions. They liaise closely with the Chief Sustainability Office and the Board of Management, who ultimately set the sustainability targets. To accomplish these objectives, we have devised action plans for each subsidiary, ensuring unified efforts across Germany, Europe, the Americas, and Asia.’ 
 
We have already come far, but we aim to become even better. To do so, we comply with recognised sustainability standards and engage in comprehensive reporting to ensure transparency and constantly keep the goals and results of our work in our sights.
