ISO 50001 2018 Energy Management System Lead Auditor Training PECB

ABOUT THE LEAD AUDITOR COURSE

The purpose of this training course is to provide knowledge and skills required to perform first, second and third-party audits of energy management systems (EnMS) against ISO 50001, in accordance with ISO 19011 and ISO 17021, as applicable. It will help the students consolidate knowledge and acquire hands-on experience that is instrumental in their capacity as an EnMS auditor or Energy/Sustainability function personnel. Capitalizing on the powerful Accelerated Learning Technique, this course spends a good portion of the time on discussions, exercises and case studies.

Students who pass the continuous assessment and the 2-hour closed book examination will receive a Certificate of Achievement. Based on PECB policy, this course satisfies the training requirement for certification as a PECB registered EnMS Lead Auditor/Auditor.

• Describe the purpose of an energy management system, EnMS standards, management system audit, third-party certification and the business benefits of improved performance of the EnMS
  Explain the role of an auditor to plan, conduct, report and follow up an EnMS audit in accordance with ISO 19011 (and ISO 17021 where appropriate);

Skills

• Plan, conduct, report and follow up an audit of a EnMS to establish conformity (or otherwise) with ISO 50001 and in accordance with ISO 19011.

• Writing NC reports and audit reporting
• Audit follow up

WHAT IS THE COURSE METHODOLOGY?

There is a balance between knowledge-based presentations, discussions, exercises, and case studies. About two-thirds of the time, the expert will spend on activity-based learning to discuss a mock examination paper throughout the course to help students become familiar with the style of the questions.

The students will receive the certificate only if they complete the 100% total attendance.
