TÜV CSC CERTIFICATION SCHEME

Scope:

The TÜV CSC CERTIFICATION SCHEME is applicable for all CIoT products and routers. Typical CIoT products are: (this list is not exhaustive)

• Personal fitness devices (trackers)
• Smart home applications
• Wearables (smart watches)
• Smart TVs
• Toys
• White goods (e.g. fridges, washing machines, ovens, dish washers)

The following list explicitly excludes products where this conformity assessment program is not applicable and out of this scope:

• Products for cars, air travel and public transport

• Medical devices
• Products for military applications
• Critical infrastructure products
• Industrial products (IIoT) and products for power stations

Basis of certification scheme:

PPP 17005: VdTÜV Merkblatt “Consumer IoT Cybersecurity Conformity Assessment Program” MB DIGI 0001 dated on 2021-02-10 and its attachment “GIoT_Requirements_Catalogue_1.0.xlsx” (requirements and testing catalogue).

Duration of certification: 3 years

Surveillance: once per year
