Certification mark for UNI 11306 and 11313

SNOW CHAINS

Scope:

The certification mark applies to snow chains for motor vehicles driving on Italian roads.

Basis of certification:

The certification mark is awarded within the framework of voluntary testing and certification. The test procedure developed by TÜV SÜD is based on various standards including the Italian standard UNI 11313. This standard defines the safety-related requirements and test methods for supplementary grip devices for tyres of motor vehicles of categories M1, N1, O1 and O2.

Scope:

The certification mark applies to benches used as urban furniture.

Basis of certification:

The certification mark is awarded within the framework of voluntary testing and certification. The test procedure developed by TÜV SÜD is based on various standards including the Italian UNI 11306 standard. This standard lays down the safety-related requirements and test methods for fixed and removable park benches, irrespective of their shapes and materials

Key words of the certification mark:

  • UNI 11306
    The certified products must be in compliance with the UNI 11306 standard “Benches – Safety requirements and test methods”, see (Basis of certification). Compliance with the UNI 11306 standard is required by Italian districts
  • UNI 11313
    The certified products must fulfil the requirements of the UNI 11313 standard. (see test basis).
  • Safety tested

    The voluntary certification mark with the statement “Safety tested” is issued for products, indicating that the product was tested and certified by the independent third-party organisation of TÜV SÜD Product Service for conformity with the essential technical safety requirements.

  • Production monitored
    Periodic surveillance of the manufacture of a product constitutes the basic premise for certification which includes the award of a certification mark. Certification always requires product testing and regular factory inspections.

    As a third-party expert organisation, TÜV SÜD verifies that the manufacturer is able to maintain consistent quality in line with the requirements throughout high-volume production and has established the necessary quality system, including incoming goods inspections, lists of materials and final product check.

    In addition, calibration of the necessary measuring and monitoring equipment must be ensured. Surveillance and/or monitoring covers the testing of safety-critical components and other materials used. If unauthorised changes are made to the product, the certificate will be withdrawn and the TÜV SÜD certification mark may no longer be used.
