沙烏地阿拉伯：SASO公布《通信與資訊科技設備技術法規》

沙烏地阿拉伯標準組織（SASO）於2024年8月16日發布了《通信與資訊科技設備技術法規》。

本法規針對通信與資訊科技設備的技術要求、產品標示及消費者資訊作出明確規範。

主要要求包括但不限於：

• 符合性評估與測試要求；
• 技術標準與附加規範要求；
• 視情況須取得設備許可證；
• 提供有關潛在風險的必要資訊；
• 智慧型手機及其他設備統一採用充電器（USB Type-C）之相關規定；
• 標示智慧型手機或平板電腦是否附贈充電器銷售；
• 設備製造需有效利用頻譜並避免干擾；
• 符合輻射暴露、光學安全與電磁相容性（EMC）安全標準；
• 符合相關包裝標準；
• 遵守安全運輸與儲存要求。

此外，若設備內含除充電器以外之其他配件，亦須符合附錄1所列配件的技術規範。

並且，設備在進行軟體更新後，必須確保仍符合本法規之所有要求。

本法規亦明訂產品包裝標籤須包含的資訊，例如供應商聯絡方式及必要警語。所有必要的安全資訊須以清楚、易懂的語言呈現，方便消費者理解。

本技術法規已自2025年2月12日起正式生效。

Saudi Arabia: SASO Announces the "Technical Regulations for Communication and Information Technology Equipment”

On August 16, 2024, the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) announced the issuance of the "Technical Regulations for Communication and Information Technology Equipment."

This regulation sets forth the technical requirements for communication and information technology devices, as well as product labeling and consumer information requirements.

• The key requirements include, but are not limited to:
• Conformity assessment and testing requirements
• Technical standards and additional specifications
• Obtaining an equipment license when necessary
• Providing essential information regarding potential risks
• Requirements for standardizing chargers (USB Type-C) for smartphones and other devices
• Indicating whether smartphones or tablets are sold with a charger included
• Manufacturing equipment in a manner that efficiently utilizes the radio spectrum and avoids interference
• Compliance with safety standards for radiation exposure, optical safety, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)
• Adherence to relevant packaging standards
• Compliance with safe transportation and storage requirements

Additionally, if the device includes accessories other than a charger, these accessories must also meet the technical specifications outlined in Appendix 1.
It must also be ensured that any software updates do not affect the device’s continued compliance with this regulation.

The regulation further specifies the information that must be displayed on product packaging labels, including the supplier’s contact information and necessary warnings.

All required safety information must be presented clearly and in language that is easy for consumers to understand.

The new technical regulations officially came into effect on February 12, 2025.
