沙烏地阿拉伯：統一手機及電子設備充電端口

沙烏地阿拉伯於2025年1月1日起，正式實施統一充電端口（USB Type-C）的規範。

根據沙烏地通訊與資訊技術委員會（CST）與沙烏地標準、計量與品質組織（SASO）的規定，相關企業與供應商必須符合技術法規與標準規範，統一採用 USB Type-C 作為充電端口。此外，自2026年4月1日起，這一規範也將適用於筆記型電腦，進一步推動電子設備間的標準化。

Saudi Arabia: "Unified Charging Ports for Mobile Phones and Electronic Devices

Starting January 1, 2025, Saudi Arabia has officially enforced a new regulation mandating the adoption of a unified charging port across a wide range of electronic devices.

These include the following products:

• Mobile phones
• Tablets
• Digital cameras
• E-readers
• Handheld gaming consoles
• Headphones
• Earbuds
• Portable speakers
• Amplifiers
• Keyboards
• Mice
• Portable navigation systems
• Wireless routers

This initiative aims to enhance device compatibility, reduce electronic waste, and streamline user experience.

Under the regulations set by the Communications, Space, and Technology Commission (CST) and the Saudi Standards, Metrology, and Quality Organization (SASO), companies and suppliers are required to comply with technical regulations and standard specifications, adopting USB Type-C as the standard charging port. Furthermore, starting April 1, 2026, this requirement will extend to laptops, further standardizing charging solutions across devices.

This policy aligns with international trends and demonstrates Saudi Arabia’s commitment to fostering technological progress and environmental sustainability.
