Proof of qualification for your competence as a human rights officer - TÜV
This exam is aimed at anyone who wants to officially prove their knowledge in the field of human rights and corporate due diligence. If you successfully pass the course, you will receive a certificate as a human rights officer – TÜV, which documents your professional qualifications and can be used in a variety of ways in a professional environment. The audit covers key issues relating to human rights, corporate responsibility and the legal framework.

The subject of this examination is the following content, which we will familiarize you with in our "Human Rights Officer – TÜV" training course:
- Development of human rights and their relationship with working conditions
- Legal framework conditions and basics, such as
- international and national human rights standards (e.g. UN Charter of Human Rights, European Convention on Human Rights, ILO Core Labour Standards),
- European Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD),
- German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG),
- other regulations such as due diligence obligations with regard to conflict minerals or critical raw materials within the meaning of the EU Regulation on Deforestation-Free Supply Chains
- Importance of human rights in different contexts (companies, authorities, NGOs)
- Human rights risks for companies and in the supply chain
- Tasks and responsibilities of human rights officers
- Risk management and due diligence processes
- Procedure of risk analysis and risk assessment
- Development and implementation of a human rights strategy in the company
- Development and establishment of risk-based, appropriate and effective prevention and remedial measures
- Use of instruments such as Code of Conduct, self-assessments, certifications and audits with and from suppliers
- Training, documentation and communication
- Flexible way to prove specialist knowledge with free choice of preparation and without prescribed further training measures.
- Personal certificate from the TÜV SÜD Examination Institute.
This is an online proctored examination.
The indication of surnames, first names, place of birth and date of birth is a prerequisite for certification.
Examination supervision of the TÜV SÜD Examination Institute.
- Students need to connect to the examination session from an internet accessible location.
- Webcam and Microphone are REQUIRED.
- The examination venue must be a self-contained private room or office.
- When prompted by the online exam proctor, the complete work environment/room must be shown using the camera.
- There must be no other people in the room.
- No other materials are allowed in the vicinity of the PC/laptop other than permitted resources.
- No texts on the walls or desk.
- Quiet surroundings and no music, television or other sources of noise.
- No other computers or devices in the room are to be switched on.
- The room must be sufficiently lit (equivalent to daylight).
- Participants are not permitted to create or distribute transcripts of the examination contents (electronically and/or manually).
- Participant makes/receives a telephone call during the examination.
- Another person appears in the room.
- During the examination, the browser displaying the examination is left and answers are researched online despite this being prohibited by the examination regulations (closed book).
- Documents/notes are positioned on or around the laptop/monitor that enable the participant to cheat.
This multiple-choice exam lasts 60 minutes and consists of 40 questions. The passing limit is 60%. TÜV SÜD training documents are approved (Open Book).
Successful participants that pass the exam will receive his/her Personal certificate from the TÜV SÜD Examination Institute.
